On to Middlewich

Today's run from the Lion Salt Works to Middlewich made me realise just what I'd been missing for the last four months. Starcross' Autumn travels were curtailed by the breaches on the Trent & Mersey and for one reason or another I hardly saw the boat in December or January.
So it was great to be heading south (We still can't go north) on a sunny morning with the first signs of Spring in the air. The scenery on this part of the T&M can't hold a candle to the Shroppie, but who cares?
I didn't even get upset about the plonker who'd ignored the miles of visitor moorings above the Big Lock and parked his noddy boat on the lock landing!
