Graiguenamanagh

The River Barrow has few bridges, at least on its lower reaches. The nearest to St. Mullins was in the small town of Graiguenamanagh and it is a beauty.
Graiguenamanagh Bridge and Moorings
There are extensive moorings either side of the bridge but you have to be brave to moor on the downstream side!

The town's main attraction is the restored Duiske Abbey, which is well worth a visit, but there's not much else to the place although like most Irish towns it's not short of pubs.

One to be recommended is Doyles Bar, where as one local put it: "You can get a pint of milk, a pint of rat poison or a pint of Guinness (no prizes for guessing. . . . )
